What to do,
Oh I’ve been feeling blue.
What a sad girl,
Yet as precious as a pearl.
Alone but not afraid,
Only she can break out the cage.
Fear and trauma rise to the surface,
All she really needs is her true love’s kiss.
But no one is around her,
Yet not a single cat passes without a purr.
Adorned by animals,
Kissed by seagulls.
She’s not from here,
Always seems distant from her peers.
So loved by God,
Creation looks at her with a smile and nod.
But still she longs for something more,
Although spiritually, she’s far from poor.
A lover she is,
A dreamer for her own kids.
She wants to nurture and care,
And have someone play with her hair.
But people run away,
The one she loves didn’t stay.
She thinks of him always,
Dreaming he’d get down on his knees.
But he loved his past more,
Too bad I wasn’t his whore.
I let him go,
And I go with the flow.
But I hope love finds me soon,
I’m ready to come out the cocoon.
